As a member of the faculty at the Executive Protection Institute, I am honored to be part of this event twice a year. While my primary role is to teach the Protection Response Tactics (PRT) program, I am also on-site throughout the week to assist during the full seven-day training course.

Executive Protection Institute – Providing Executive Protection 7-Day Program

 

The Executive Protection Institute’s 7-Day Program is the course that redefined the personal protection industry. Since 1978, this world-renowned program has been continuously updated to reflect modern threats, technology, and operational best practices. With over 100 hours of instruction, the course blends classroom learning with extensive hands-on training and realistic scenario-based exercises.

Students gain sophisticated skills and proven techniques they can immediately apply to high-pressure, real-world assignments. The program not only meets but exceeds the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS) 032E requirement to become a Registered Personal Protection Specialist (PPS), setting the standard for professionalism in the field.

  • Master Defensive Tactics for Executive Protection (DT4EP) for unarmed threat management

Program Details

  • Tuition: $3,990

  • Lodging Fee: $355 for the week (Sunday–Saturday)

  • Includes two banquets, course materials, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and VA DCJS fees

 

Who Can Attend

Open to individuals aged 18 to 72+ who demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn. Candidates are screened to ensure a mature, collaborative training environment.
