The Power of Taking Action

Taking real action is one of the most powerful tools for change available to you. I don’t see myself as a naturally gifted person, but what I do have is the ability to put in the work—to take action. This has been on my mind lately because of how this year started. My team and I set some big goals, and we committed to launching the PRT Instructor Program, rolling out the NEW Legacy Online Training Academy, and completely revamping our online video academies. That meant upgrading the platform, refining the content, and recording over four terabytes of new material—all within the first few months of the year.

It was a massive undertaking, and to be honest, I wasn’t sure if we could pull it off. The schedule we laid out for January and February was packed—every single day was dedicated to recording, writing, and upgrading the platform. It was an intense push, but we got it done. Now, looking back, I’m honestly surprised at how much we’ve accomplished in such a short time.

I asked myself: What was the number one factor that made it happen? The answer was simple: taking action. Bob, Jennifer, and I all took massive action. We restructured our schedules, carved out time, prioritized our energy, and executed. No hesitation. No waiting for the “right time.” Just deliberate action every single day.

If you want to achieve more in your life, action is the key. Stop overthinking and choose your direction—clarity comes through movement, not just contemplation. Schedule time to invest in your progress; if it’s not on your calendar, it won’t happen. Time is your most valuable resource, so treat it with the respect it deserves. And most importantly, get up and do the work. Nothing happens without movement. Action is what separates those who talk from those who achieve.

warrior takes action—that’s what defines you. You are one of the few who will step forward when it’s needed and who will push through when others hesitate. So, what’s the next step you need to take? Move forward. Take action. The path is forged by those who have the courage to step onto it.

Expanding the C-Tac Warrior Network

Not only did we accomplish everything we set out to do, but we also took things a step further by launching new forums for our online academies. This is a game-changer. Now, students have a dedicated space to ask questions about the content, discuss training strategies, and get direct responses from me or our team.

This addition is especially meaningful to me because I’ve wanted to develop and expand a community around the C-Tac program for a long time. My vision has always been to create a space where like-minded individuals—those who are serious about self-defense, personal protection, and growth—can connect, share ideas, ask questions, and push each other forward. The warrior path isn’t meant to be walked alone, and this forum will serve as a hub for people who are committed to developing their skills and mindset.

My goal is to grow the warrior community—to bring together those who live by discipline, preparedness, and a never-quit attitude. This forum is just the beginning, but it’s a powerful tool that will help fuel that growth. The stronger our community, the stronger we all become.

The Power of Focus: Applying the 80/20 Principle

One of the biggest realizations I had throughout this process was how much it aligned with the 80/20 Principle—also known as the Pareto Principle. This principle states that 80% of your results come from just 20% of your efforts. Instead of trying to tackle everything at once, my team and I deliberately identified the most impactful 20% of actions—the ones that would drive 80% of our results—and we committed to focusing on those.

At times, it felt like I wasn’t getting everything done. There were always lingering tasks, smaller details I wanted to address, and distractions pulling for my attention. But rather than trying to juggle it all, I kept returning to this question: Is this one of the key actions that will create the biggest impact? If the answer was no, it didn’t take my time or energy—not at that moment.

The beauty of this approach was that it removed the feeling of being overwhelmed. Instead of being buried under an endless to-do list, I was able to focus my energy on what truly mattered. And here’s what surprised me: When I committed to this mindset, I actually ended up with extra time. The things that felt like they might get left behind? I found pockets of time to tackle them without stress. By handling the critical tasks first, I gained more control over my schedule and created momentum rather than feeling constantly behind.

This principle is something you can apply to any area of life—whether it’s training, business, or personal growth. Instead of trying to do everything, take a step back and ask yourself:

• What are the few key actions that will create the biggest results?

• Am I spending my time on what truly moves the needle, or am I just keeping busy?

• How can I eliminate, delegate, or defer the less critical tasks?

When you shift your mindset from doing more to doing what matters, you’ll find yourself achieving more with less effort. Focus, execute, and trust the process—because when you control your priorities, you control your outcomes.
