We are excited to announce that we will be hosting the creator of the Keysi Fighting Method, Justo Dieguez, in Atlanta at the Atlanta Martial Arts Center on September 30th, from 4 to 6 pm.

Meet Justo Diéguez

Born on October 12, 1957, in a small mining town in Seville, Spain, Justo Diéguez, also known as Keysi, has a remarkable life story. His journey began in an environment that demanded resilience and self-defense skills. Growing up in a place where survival often meant knowing how to fight, he learned these essential skills at an early age.

Reflecting on his upbringing, Justo recalls, “The town where I lived as a child was a very special and challenging place. You learned to fight and defend yourself there, or you would face the consequences.” Even in his youth, he witnessed harsh realities and understood that his path to a better life required escaping from these circumstances.

At 10 years old, he spent three years in a Salesian monastery, searching for answers. Yet, he returned home at 14 and entered the harsh environment of the mines. The mines were unforgiving, filled with violence and ruthless individuals. Justo set a resolute goal for himself: not to become a victim. “I have never felt like a victim,” he asserts.

Determined to break free, Justo left the mines and joined the special forces, specifically the “COE-22.” His strong character and exceptional qualities quickly made him a standout soldier, earning recognition among his peers.

After leaving the army, Justo embarked on a journey of martial arts exploration. He pursued various levels of training as an instructor, seeking answers to life’s questions. Yet, he realized that the answers weren’t external; they resided within oneself. “That path begins in oneself, in believing in who you are and not allowing anyone to tell you who you have to be,” he affirms.
