SUMMARY:Civilian Tactical Instructor Camp
DESCRIPTION:THE C-TAC SELF-DEFENSE PROGRAM \nBridging The Gap Between Martial Arts And Self-Protection. \nAre you searching for a comprehensive self-defense system that goes beyond physical techniques? Look no further than the C-Tac® System. Designed to equip individuals with practical self-defense skills\, the C-Tac® System goes above and beyond by addressing various crucial aspects of personal protection. Let’s explore what sets the C-Tac® System apart and why it’s the right choice for those seeking a holistic approach to self-defense. \n  \nThe C-Tac® System Seamlessly Integrates Everyday Carry (EDC) \nIntegrating EDC principles into all of its training ensures that the tools and gear you carry daily are effectively utilized in self-defense scenarios. Our approach emphasizes the importance of being prepared with the right EDC items—whether it’s a knife\, flashlight\, or firearm\, and knowing how to deploy them efficiently under stress. Throughout our training\, you’ll learn how to incorporate your EDC into various defensive tactics\, blending these tools with your skills to maximize your protection. By making EDC an integral part of your training\, the C-Tac® System empowers you to be ready for any situation\, using the gear you have on hand every day. \nSituational Awareness \nin the C-Tac® System\, situational awareness is a fundamental component. Understanding your surroundings and being able to assess potential threats is crucial for personal safety. Our training focuses on honing your observation skills\, enhancing your ability to identify and assess potential dangers\, and developing a proactive mindset. We don’t just talk about situational awareness—we actively teach and practice techniques and drills designed to embed these critical skills into your nervous system. \nLegal Compliance \nSelf-defense should always operate within the confines of the law. With the C-Tac® System\, you’ll learn self-defense techniques that are not only effective but also legal. Our training emphasizes the importance of understanding the legal framework surrounding self-defense\, ensuring that you are equipped with the knowledge to make informed decisions in high-stress situations. \nPre-Fight Social Exchange \nRecognizing the signs of a potential confrontation before it escalates is essential. The C-Tac® System teaches you how to navigate pre-fight social exchanges\, diffusing conflicts and de-escalating situations whenever possible. By mastering effective communication and conflict resolution skills\, you can mitigate the need for physical confrontation. We ensure that everything we do remains within a framework that is both visually appropriate and socially acceptable. \nReasonable Force Continuum \nUnderstanding the concept of reasonable force is vital for self-defense. The C-Tac® System follows a carefully structured force continuum\, guiding you through appropriate responses based on the level of threat. By adhering to this continuum\, you will learn to apply force proportionately and ethically\, ensuring your actions are justified in the eyes of the law. \nIntegrated Firearms and Empty Hand Techniques \nThe C-Tac® System recognizes the role firearms play in personal protection. Our training not only covers empty hand techniques but also integrates firearm skills seamlessly. You will learn how to effectively combine the use of firearms with empty hand techniques\, empowering you to handle diverse self-defense scenarios with confidence. \nPractical Grappling for the Street \nGround fighting and grappling can be crucial in real-life altercations. The C-Tac® System strongly emphasizes practical grappling techniques specifically tailored for self-defense situations. Our training provides you with the necessary skills to defend yourself both standing up and on the ground\, preparing you for a range of scenarios. In Tac we study 6 areas of training on the ground: \n\nGrappling: A fundamental study of grappling that blends techniques and strategies from Jiu-Jitsu\, Combat Submission Wrestling (CSW)\, Catch Wrestling\, and Shoot Boxing. This integrated approach emphasizes a more aggressive and effective style\, designed to enhance your versatility and adaptability in combat scenarios.\nEDC Grappling: When weapon systems are introduced into the grappling environment\, fundamental changes must be made. These adjustments impact everything from mechanics and techniques to movement itself. EDC Grappling addresses these critical shifts\, ensuring your grappling skills are effective and adaptable in scenarios involving everyday carry (EDC) weapons.\nAnti-Grappling: Anti- or counter-grappling is the study of the grappling environment\, focusing on understanding its dynamics and learning how to use them to your advantage in a fight. This approach equips you with strategies to neutralize or counter grappling techniques effectively\, turning the tables on your opponent.\nGround Fighting: When you incorporate weapons\, striking\, multiple opponents\, and challenging environments like sidewalks or parking lots\, the dynamics of ground fighting completely change. This approach prepares you for real-world scenarios where adaptability\, awareness\, and tactical thinking are essential for survival.\nDog Boxing: Dog Boxing focuses on the art of “out of position” fighting\, teaching you how to effectively defend and attack when you’re in unconventional or disadvantaged positions. It’s a specialized study designed to prepare you for real-world scenarios where perfect form and positioning aren’t always an option.\nGrounded Weapons Fighting: This isn’t about grappling with a firearm; it’s about applying the tactical principles typically used while standing—such as maintaining distance\, achieving a superior angle\, and controlling timing—all within the context of being on the ground. These strategies go beyond the limitations of traditional grappling to give you a more comprehensive approach to ground-based combat with weapons.\n\nJoin the Team Here: https://civtaccoach.com/ \n  \n  \nC-Tac® strives to bring real-world tactical training to the civilian world.\nTurn on any TV\, watch the news\, and you will see how changes in today’s world and our culture are creating the need for information and training that exceeds what a regular martial art school or Karate program has to offer. \nThe many benefits of martial arts in our culture have been proven over time and are more than mentioned here. Still\, today’s mar \n \ntial arts community does not offer the experience\, background\, or knowledge needed to effectively meet the needs of industries that need more narrow\, specialized applications. \nToday\, many “self-defense” instructors received their certification to teach by attending a three-day weekend seminar. Many groups in the martial arts that call themselves “martial arts practitioners” claim to offer solutions for today’s needs. Still\, when you peel back the layers of the so-called “realistic programs\,” they generally turn out to be just well-marketed nonsense that was pieced together to have something to sell to the unknowing civilian. \nC-Tac will give you a well-rounded\, effective personal protection plan that will cover intelligent threat assessment and planning\, essential firearm use and close-quarter manipulation (Disarms\, Weapon Retention)\, a practical and realistic defensive tactic (Self-Defense) that will work in multiple environments\, including hallways\, doorways\, ground fighting\, and in and around motor vehicles – to name a few. \nThe C-Tac system was developed to mentally and physically prepare you for dangerous situations by teaching you pre-fight conflict-resolution techniques and situational awareness. Both beginners and advanced students can train and become proficient in C-Tac. \nYou will study the urban weapons that allow you to take everyday objects and use them as tools in a threatening encounter. Also\, as part of the urban weapons program\, we show you how to use a bladed weapon or how to defend against the bladed weapon if someone attempts to use one on you. \nThere are two methods of study through the association. One is the student level which primarily involves studying with a certified instructor or studying virtually through the online video Training Academy on this website. Additionally\, the student can also attend one of the many seminars that Coach Baker teaches around the United States annually. The second option is for the Professional Martial Artist that is looking to implement the C-Tac program into their schedule at the Academy. The second option is achieved through the instructor training program. \n  \nJoin the Team Here: https://civtaccoach.com/ \n

SUMMARY:Nashville Tenn Filipino Martial Arts Seminar
DESCRIPTION:  \nNashville\, Tennessee\, Filipino Martial Arts Seminar\nWith Guro Alan Baker\nMarch 28th\, 10 AM to 1 PM  \nAll Levels Of Skill Are Welcome! \nSigh Up HERE \n\nWhat is Filipino Martial Arts  \n \nFilipino Martial Arts (FMA)\, often known as Kali\, Eskrima\, or Arnis\, is a weapon-based fighting system built for real-world self-defense. It’s famous for developing practical skills fast because it starts with simple\, functional tools\, sticks\, blades\, and everyday carry style weapons\, then translates those same movements into empty-hand application. \nWhat makes FMA different is how it trains timing\, distance\, and footwork under pressure. You’re not just learning “moves\,” you’re learning how to manage range\, create angles\, protect your head and hands\, and solve problems in close quarters. The drills are designed to build attributes like coordination\, reaction speed\, and controlled aggression\, while also improving your awareness and decision-making. \nJust as important\, good FMA training is adaptable. Whether you’re brand new or already experienced in boxing\, Muay Thai\, Jiu-Jitsu\, or traditional martial arts\, FMA plugs in and upgrades your overall fighting ability. It sharpens your hands\, improves your defensive structure\, and gives you a better understanding of weapons\, including how to avoid them\, control them\, and survive them. \nIn short\, Filipino Martial Arts is a blueprint for functional fighting: smart\, efficient\, pressure-tested\, and built for the modern world. \n  \n\nWhat Does Training FMA Do For You?\nTraining Filipino Martial Arts does more than teach you a system. It upgrades the way you move\, think\, and respond under pressure. \nFirst\, it sharpens timing and distance management. You learn how to recognize range in real time\, when you’re safe\, when you’re not\, and how to move to a better position fast. That kind of awareness carries into every form of self-defense. \nIt also builds footwork and angle control. FMA teaches you how to stop standing in front of problems and start stepping off-line\, creating better entries\, better exits\, and better opportunities. This is one of the biggest game changers for people who feel “stuck” when things get chaotic. \nYou develop coordination\, reflexes\, and hand speed through structured drills that are designed to build attributes\, not just collect techniques. Over time\, your nervous system becomes more efficient\, and your responses become cleaner and more controlled. \nFMA gives you a realistic understanding of weapons. You learn how weapons change the rules\, how to protect your hands and head\, and how to make smarter decisions when blades or impact tools are involved. Even if you never carry a weapon\, knowing how to deal with one matters. \n  \n\nWhere Is This Event Held?\nLocation The Den Martial Arts Academy\nCall (615) 557-3255 – 2805 Donelson Pike\, Nashville\, TN 37217\nhttp://www.denkungfu.com/\nThe Den Kung Fu is a small\, student-focused martial arts and health maintenance learning center built around Internal Arts and Chinese Boxing. The academy’s culture is centered on “the learning mind” and seeking tested truth in martial arts and health preservation\, not chasing rank or tradition for tradition’s sake. Enrollment is limited and classes are run in small groups\, with private lessons available as scheduling permits. They also offer one-time seminars and customized short courses in areas like Tai Chi\, Wa Lu\, and practical self-defense for individuals or groups. \nTraining includes Internal Arts such as Tai Chi (Yang and Chen styles)\, Pakua Chang\, Wa Lu\, and Xingi\, taught from a martial perspective for deeper understanding\, while still welcoming students who are there primarily for health benefits. Chinese Boxing at The Den is positioned as realistic\, no-rules\, survival-oriented unarmed self-defense with a strong emphasis on developing the body and mind over time. Their overall approach favors practicality\, maturity\, and responsibility\, with a constant “empty cup” mindset. \nClasses are taught or supervised by Sijo Bryan Lewis\, who has studied kung fu since 1980 and holds an Instructor’s Certificate in Chinese Boxing under Professor James Cravens. Sifu Bryan also holds advanced rank in Tai Chi 1-2-3 under Sigung Paul Olivas and U.S. Chuan Fa under Sijo Dana Miller\, with references available upon request. \n  \n\nTaught By Guro Alan Baker \nGuro Alan Baker is a full-time martial arts instructor and program designer with decades of experience teaching practical combat skill across striking\, weapons\, and integrated self-defense. His training is rooted in lineage based Filipino Martial Arts and the Inosanto approach to cross-training\, with a focus on functional application\, intelligent structure\, and real-world performance. \nAlan is a Full Instructor and Mataas Na Guro in Filipino Kali (Eskrima) under Guro Dan Inosanto\, and also a Full Instructor in Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do under Sifu Dan Inosanto. He is an instructor in Pekiti-Tirsia under Tuhon Tim Waid\, bringing a strong emphasis on tactical footwork\, range control\, and blade and impact weapon understanding. He is a Kru in Muay Thai Boxing under Ajarn Surachai “Chai” Sirisute\, adding a proven striking base that blends seamlessly into his FMA and JKD approach. Alan is also a Full Instructor in Progressive Martial Arts under Guro Paul Vunak\, known for building fast\, aggressive\, pressure-oriented skill sets. Rounding out his Southeast Asian influences\, he is a Guro Level Three in Maphilindo Silat under Guro Dan Inosanto\, adding off-balancing\, limb control\, and positional dominance to his overall method. \nFor this event\, Guro Alan Baker’s goal is simple: give students a clear\, usable training path that improves timing\, footwork\, and problem-solving under pressure\, while honoring the source arts and presenting them in a way that makes sense for modern practitioners. \n\nRegester For This Event \nThis event will fill up quickly\, click on this link to hold your spot: https://buy.stripe.com/5kQ5kD0b93hz0bMaJn7EQ0Z \n  \n  \n\nAditional FMA Study Options\nThe Legacy Academy Kali Program\nIf you want to get more out of this event\, or show up already speaking the same language\, take a little time to study the supporting material inside the Legacy Academy Kali Program. It’s built to give you the foundational concepts\, drills\, and structure behind how we train\, so you understand what you’re doing and why it works. This Academy will also give you a source for your training after the event.  \nInside the program you’ll get a clear path for developing timing\, footwork\, range management\, and practical weapon integration\, along with the core training methods we’ll be using on the mat. If you want to sharpen your fundamentals and walk in already dialed in\, this is the place to start.  \nbuilt the Legacy Academy for students around the world who want legitimate training\, even if they can’t travel to work with me in person on a regular basis. If you’re an academy owner\, program director\, or training coordinator and you’d like to host an event with Professor Alan Baker\, the best way to get the process started is to contact our Operations Director\, Jennifer Wood. Jennifer handles scheduling\, travel logistics\, and event coordination\, and she’ll help you lock in dates and get everything organized on your end.   \nYou can reach Jennifer through our Team page here: https://sifualanbaker.com/our-team/ \n     \n\nPhysical Requirements\n\n\n\nParticipation in this program requires a basic level of mobility and fitness\, including the ability to get down to one knee and return to standing safely. We also understand that injuries\, limitations\, and medical considerations are common. When appropriate\, we can modify drills and training methods to support your participation while maintaining the safety and core intent of the training. If you have any concerns\, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan smart adjustments. We aim to provide a high-quality learning experience for every participant\, and we will make reasonable modifications when needed unless doing so would fundamentally change the nature of the training or create a safety risk. \n\n\n\nBefore engaging in any physical activity\, including this event\, it’s advisable to consult with your doctor for guidance and to ensure it’s suitable for your health and fitness level. \n  \n\nRefunds\nBecause this course has limited capacity and requires upfront commitments (venue\, staffing\, travel\, and materials)\, we maintain a firm cancellation policy and ask that you review it carefully at the time of registration. Clear refund policies set expectations and help avoid disputes\, especially for high-demand events.   \nCancellations made more than 30 days before the event are eligible for a full refund. Cancellations made 8 to 30 days before the event are not refundable\, but your tuition may be applied as a credit toward another program within 12 months (subject to availability). SUMMARY:The Clinch-To-Draw Blueprint: Fighting To Your Weapon System
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Clinch-To-Draw Blueprint: \nFighting To Your Weapon System\nMARCH 29\, 2026 10-1 PM\nRoyal Range USA In Nashville Tennessee\nCLICK HERE TO HOLD YOUR SPOT\n\n\nEvent description\nThe Goal: Give responsible gun owners a clear\, pressure-tested method to survive close contact\, create space\, and access their weapon system safely.\nThis is a three-hour\, range-based training block built for gun owners who understand a simple truth: the fight that matters most is the one that starts too close. If you carry\, your first problem is not marksmanship. Your first problem is recognizing trouble early\, surviving the initial crash\, protecting your head and belt line\, creating space\, and accessing your weapon systems when they’re actually available. \nWe’ll work on threat recognition and pre-assault indicators\, then move into close-range and “out of position” problems that happen around vehicles and in transitional spaces. You’ll learn simple\, pressure-tested shielding and positioning methods that help you stay functional under surprise contact so you can fight your way into distance and get to a tool of advantage. \nWe’re going to cover the skills that keep you alive before the fight ever “looks like a fight.” You’ll learn how to recognize threats before they bloom into violence by spotting pre-assault indicators\, physical tells\, and posting behaviors that often show up right before the first strike. We’ll then train surprise-contact protection so you can use simple\, functional shielding to protect your head and keep your brain online when the bad guy closes fast\, aiming to move from behind time to ahead of time. \nFrom there\, we’ll work out-of-position fighting from a seated position and against a wall\, focusing on what to do when you don’t have your preferred stance\, angle\, or timing\, and the bad guy is already in your space. You’ll learn how to clear attachments\, break contact\, and fight your way back into distance so you can access your weapon systems safely and intelligently. We’ll also cover protecting your belt line and your draw\, including simple\, practical ways to defend the holster area from grabs and attempted disarms\, so you don’t donate your gun in a clinch. While we won’t be running vehicle-specific scenarios in this class\, the principles you’ll learn here translate directly to the kinds of problems that often happen in and around vehicles. \n  \nMost gun owners are trained for a clean range problem\, not the messy close-range fight. They’re missing a clear blueprint for what to do before they can safely access their weapon.\n  \n\n\nAreas We Will Be Working On\n\nPre-contact positioning through the study of critical distance\nReading physical indicators and pre-assault cues from the threat\nHow to position yourself before contact so you’re starting from advantage\nManaging close-quarter punching and surprise contact\nDealing with clothing grabs and attachment fighting\nCountering attempted grabs to your belt line or weapon system\nUnderstanding force at close range and how to respond appropriately\nDelivering ballistic\, close-range counterattacks when you have no space\nTraining the material in open space first for clean reps and timing\nApplying the same problems from a seated position\nApplying the same problems pinned or pressured against a wall\nBuilding the skill of creating distance\, making space\, and earning access to your weapon system of choice\n\n  \nHave you ever had this thought: “I carry every day\, but I’ve never really trained what happens when the fight starts too close. If a guy is already on me\, grabbing and hitting\, how do I handle him\, create space\, and safely get to my weapon without donating it?”\n  \nJOIN US HERE\n  \n\n\nThe Instructor / Your Guide\nSifu/Guro Alan Baker is a high-performance coach and an internationally recognized martial arts & self-defense expert.
