Those sessions brought the team together for several days of intensive\, nonstop training. That tradition is the foundation of this camp. \nWe will use a rolling schedule of drills\, open rolling sessions\, and focused rounds designed to push your limits. A round timer will run continuously. You are free to step off the mat whenever you need a break\, but the training environment continues. Those who want to test themselves can remain on the mat and train hard across the camp. \nThis is an opportunity to immerse yourself in a continuous training environment that is focused on pushing boundaries\, refining skill\, and taking your Jiu Jitsu to the next level. \n \n\n\n\nProgressive Training Flow \nTrain the complete cycle\n\n\n01\n\nBridge the gap\nClose distance safely and effectively against an opponent who may be striking or maintaining range. \n\n\n\n02\n\nEnter and take down\nUse entries and takedowns that create a dominant position without unnecessary exposure to risk. \n\n\n\n03\n\nControl and transition\nEstablish and maintain side control\, mount\, and back control under pressure. Move fluidly between positions. \n\n\n\n04\n\nSubmit with efficiency\nExplore submission opportunities through mechanical efficiency\, control\, timing\, and adaptation for different environments\, including self defense situations. \n\n\n\n05\n\nEscape and recover\nEscape bad positions\, regain control\, and work back to your feet when necessary. Understand how every piece connects from first engagement to fight conclusion. \n\n\n \n\n\n\n\n\nInstruction \nOverseen by Professor Alan Baker and guests\nProfessor Alan Baker brings a rare and well rounded perspective to grappling. He holds a fourth degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under Master Pedro Sauer\, a Full Instructorship under Master Erik Paulson\, and a second degree black belt in Judo. He also holds instructor ranks in Filipino Dumog and Silat. \nThis cross disciplinary background allows him to blend structure\, leverage\, and adaptability. Professor Baker tailors his instruction to the students on the mat and helps practitioners of different styles and experience levels develop a more complete and intelligent understanding of grappling. \n\nParticipants will leave with clearer structure\, improved efficiency\, and a deeper grasp of how Jiu Jitsu principles work in real situations. \n\n \n\n\n\n\nThe Art \nWhat is Brazilian Jiu Jitsu?\nBrazilian Jiu Jitsu is a martial art focused on leverage\, control\, and technique rather than size or strength. It teaches practitioners to defend themselves through positional control\, joint locks\, and chokeholds. The art emphasizes ground fighting and develops physical skill and mental discipline through live practice. \nBrazilian Jiu Jitsu was built on the principle that knowledge and leverage can overcome size and strength. Preserving that truth matters. This camp returns to the art’s foundation through efficiency\, structure\, and intelligent mechanics. Professor Baker’s mission is to help good people train smarter\, protect themselves\, and pass on authentic knowledge that strengthens the community. \n \n\n \n\n\n\nWoodstock\, Georgia \nTrain at Atlanta Martial Arts Center\n\n\nAtlanta Martial Arts Center\n180 Parkway 575\, Suite 110Woodstock\, Georgia 30188 \nHome base for the three day training camp and the October 4 affiliate training day. \n \n\nReview the academy\, location information\, and local training programs before you arrive. \n Visit the Training Center\n \n \n \n\n\n\n\nRegistration \n 250 dollars \nReserve your place for all three days\nYour registration includes the October 2 and 3 training camp plus the October 4 affiliate training day.
