SUMMARY:Professor Alan Baker's Jiu-Jitsu Training Camp
DESCRIPTION:Alan Baker’s Jiu-Jitsu Training Camp\nOctober 2-4 – Woodstock Georgia\nTraining camp October 2\, and 3 + affiliate training day\, October 4th for (Three Days Of Training)\nAt The Atlanta Martial Arts Center \nThis training camp isn’t just another seminar\, it’s inspired by the original “Fight Lab” sessions I used to run with my staff once a year. Back then\, we’d come together for a few days of intensive\, nonstop training\, and that tradition is what this camp is all about. \nAt this camp\, we’ll have a rolling schedule of drills\, open rolling sessions\, and focused rounds designed to push your limits. We’ll have a round timer running continuously\, and while you’re free to step off the mat whenever you need a break\, the training doesn’t stop. This means those who want to test themselves can stay on the mat and push hard for the entire camp\, leading to tremendous improvement over just a few days. \nIn essence\, this camp is your opportunity to immerse yourself in a continuous training environment that’s all about pushing boundaries\, refining your skills\, and taking your Jiu-Jitsu to the next level. \n\n  \nwe will follow a progressive training flow designed to build your skills from first contact to ground control. The camp will begin by working on bridging the gap\, closing distance safely and effectively against an opponent who may be striking or maintaining range. From there\, we will move into takedowns and entries designed to put you in a dominant position without exposing yourself to unnecessary risk. \nOnce on the ground\, we will train positional control strategies\, learning how to establish and maintain dominance in key positions such as side control\, mount\, and back control. We will focus on both holding these positions under pressure and transitioning fluidly between them. \nFrom dominant positions\, we will explore submission opportunities\, emphasizing mechanical efficiency\, control\, and timing. We will also address how to adapt these submissions for different environments\, including self-defense situations. \nThe flow will then reverse\, covering how to escape from bad positions\, regain control\, and work back to your feet if necessary. Throughout the camp\, every segment will be connected so that you understand how each piece fits into the bigger picture of controlling\, neutralizing\, and finishing an opponent in a real-world scenario. By the end of the event\, you will have trained through the full cycle\, from first engagement to fight conclusion \n\n \nReserve Your Spot Space Is Limited!\nRegister HERE: https://buy.stripe.com/eVqdR99LJcS9e2CbNr7EQ10\n  \n\n \nOverseen By Professor Alan Baker And Guest\nProfessor Alan Baker brings a rare and well-rounded perspective to the art of grappling. He holds a fourth-degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Master Pedro Sauer\, a prestigious Full Instructorship under Master Erik Paulson\, and a second-degree black belt in Judo. In addition\, he holds instructor ranks in Filipino Dumog and Silat\, giving him deep experience across both Eastern and Western grappling systems. This diverse background allows him to teach with a highly specialized approach\, blending structure\, leverage\, and adaptability. Drawing from decades of cross-disciplinary study\, Professor Baker tailors his instruction to every student on the mat\, helping practitioners of all styles and levels develop a more complete and intelligent understanding of grappling. \nThis is the opportunity to experience high-level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu directly from Professor Alan Baker. This seminar is designed to refine fundamental mechanics\, expand understanding of leverage and control\, and expose students to unique methods drawn from Alan’s Living Mechanics Jiu-Jitsu program. Participants will leave with clearer structure\, improved efficiency\, and a deeper grasp of how to apply Jiu-Jitsu principles in real situations. \n  \n\n  \nWhat is Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu?\n \nBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a martial art focused on leverage\, control\, and technique rather than size or strength. It teaches practitioners how to defend themselves by using positional control\, joint locks\, and chokeholds to neutralize an opponent. The art emphasizes ground fighting\, where most real altercations tend to end\, and it builds both physical skill and mental discipline through live\, hands-on practice. BJJ is often described as “human chess” because it challenges you to think strategically while applying precise mechanics. It’s one of the most effective self-defense systems in the world and a proven foundation for fitness\, confidence\, and personal growth. \nBrazilian Jiu-Jitsu was built on the principle that knowledge and leverage can overcome size and strength. Preserving that truth matters. This seminar exists to return to the art’s foundation\, efficiency\, structure\, and intelligent mechanics\, taught in a way that honors the lineage and advances the next generation of practitioners. Professor Baker’s mission is to help good people train smarter\, protect themselves\, and pass on authentic knowledge that strengthens the community. \n  \n\n  \nLocation \n\nThis event will be at the Atlanta Martial Arts Center in Woodstock\, Georgia:\nwww.atlantamartialartscenter.com\n80 Parkway 575\, Suite 110 Woodstock\, GA 30188\n \n\n \nAdditional Study Options\n \nIf you want to get more out of this seminar (or show up already speaking the same language)\, you can study Professor Alan Baker’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu methods ahead of time and access supporting material through his BJJ page here: https://sifualanbaker.com/alan-baker-brazilian-jiu-jitsu/ \nThis is where you can dig into Alan’s Living Mechanics approach to Jiu-Jitsu: the core principles that make positions work\, how to build timing and pressure without relying on size\, and how Alan connects tactics\, strategy\, and body mechanics into a functional game you can actually apply. If you want to sharpen your fundamentals and get familiar with the training concepts we’ll be using at the seminar\, start there and come in ready to train. \n  \n  \n  \n\n  \nSchedule An Event With Professor Alan \n \nWe’re already booking seminars\, workshops\, and training camps for 2026. If you’re an academy owner\, program director\, or training coordinator and you’d like to host an event with Professor Alan Baker\, the best way to get the process started is to contact our Operations Director\, Jennifer Wood. Jennifer handles scheduling\, travel logistics\, and event coordination\, and she’ll help you lock in dates and get everything organized on your end.   \nYou can reach Jennifer through our Team page here: https://sifualanbaker.com/our-team/ \n  \n  \n  \n\n \nPhysical Requirements\n\n\n\nParticipation in this program requires a basic level of mobility and fitness\, including the ability to get down to one knee and return to standing safely. We also understand that injuries\, limitations\, and medical considerations are common. When appropriate\, we can modify drills and training methods to support your participation while maintaining the safety and core intent of the training. If you have any concerns\, please let us know ahead of time so we can plan smart adjustments. We aim to provide a high-quality learning experience for every participant\, and we will make reasonable modifications when needed unless doing so would fundamentally change the nature of the training or create a safety risk. \n\n\n\nBefore engaging in any physical activity\, including this event\, it’s advisable to consult with your doctor for guidance and to ensure it’s suitable for your health and fitness level. \n  \n\n \nRelease Form\nIf you have not signed our release form this year\, we will need you to do so HERE: https://form.jotform.com/250637570654158 \n  \n\n
