SUMMARY:SELF DEFENSE SEMINAR: Milford Maine
DESCRIPTION:  \nSelf Defense Seminar With Sifu Alan Baker\nProvidence Training Grounds: Milford\, ME\, United States\, 04461\nJune 6th\, 2026\n  \n\nThis event will be taught as a mixed-system study\, drawing from several of the training programs I work with professionally. The material will primarily come from the C-Tac® System\, the Keysi Fighting Method\, and elements of the Protection Response Tactics (PRT) program. Each of these systems contributes a different layer of understanding to real-world personal protection. \nThe C-Tac program provides the overall framework for civilian self-defense. It focuses on situational awareness\, managing distance\, integrated striking and grappling\, and understanding how empty-hand skills connect with modern defensive tools such as firearms\, knives\, and everyday carry equipment. The goal is to give students a clear blueprint for recognizing danger early\, managing the initial contact\, and solving problems in realistic environments. \nFrom the Keysi Fighting Method\, we draw close-range striking concepts\, defensive structures\, and methods for dealing with chaotic attacks at clinch and impact range. Keysi emphasizes protecting the head\, controlling space\, and maintaining offensive capability when the fight collapses into tight quarters. \nWe will also incorporate material from the Protection Response Tactics program\, which was developed for the protection and private security industry. PRT focuses on legally defensible control methods\, positional dominance\, and managing force appropriately when dealing with aggressive individuals. These methods help bridge the gap between self-defense\, professional security work\, and real-world confrontation management. \nThroughout the event we will work through multiple levels of force\, beginning with awareness and positioning\, moving into control and defensive responses\, and progressing into higher-level assault-counter tactics when avoidance or de-escalation is no longer possible. The goal is to give students a practical understanding of how these systems connect and how to apply them intelligently in real situations. \n  \n\n  \nTaught By Sifu Alan Baker \n \nSifu/Guro Alan Baker is a full-time martial arts instructor and program designer with over four decades of experience teaching practical self-defense and combative skills. His work focuses on helping students develop functional abilities in striking\, weapons\, and integrated personal protection systems that apply to real-world situations. Drawing from a lifetime of training across multiple martial traditions\, Alan emphasizes intelligent mechanics\, strong fundamentals\, and adaptable tactics that work under pressure. \nAlan holds the rank of Full Instructor and Mataas Na Guro in Filipino Kali (Eskrima) under Guro Dan Inosanto and is also a Full Instructor in Lee Jun Fan Gung Fu and Jeet Kune Do under Sifu Dan Inosanto. His background includes extensive study in Filipino Martial Arts\, edged weapon tactics\, and tactical movement\, with additional instruction in Pekiti-Tirsia under Tuhon Tim Waid\, where he developed a strong focus on footwork\, range control\, and weapon application. He is also a Kru in Muay Thai Boxing under Ajarn Surachai “Chai” Sirisute\, bringing a powerful striking base to his overall approach. \nIn addition\, Alan is a Full Instructor in Progressive Martial Arts under Guro Paul Vunak\, known for building aggressive\, pressure-oriented combat skills\, and a Guro Level Three in Maphilindo Silat under Guro Dan Inosanto\, contributing elements of off-balancing\, limb control\, and positional dominance to his training methods. \nThrough seminars\, instructor programs\, and academy training\, Alan’s goal is simple: to provide students with clear\, effective self-defense skills rooted in proven martial traditions while adapting those principles for the realities of modern personal protection. \n\nAdditional Study Options\nThe C-Tac® Program\nIf you want to get more out of this event\, or show up already speaking the same language\, take some time to study the supporting material inside the C-Tac program. The system was built to provide a clear framework for practical self-defense training\, including awareness\, range management\, and integrated weapons access. Reviewing the material ahead of time will help you understand the concepts behind how we train and why the methods work. \nInside the program you’ll find a structured path for developing the core principles we’ll be working with during the event. This includes movement\, positioning\, timing\, and the integration of striking\, grappling\, and weapon access within a realistic self-defense context. If you want to sharpen your fundamentals and arrive already dialed in\, this is a great place to begin. \nC-Tac was developed to give students a reliable source of ongoing training\, even if they can’t work with me in person regularly. Through the online platform\, you’ll gain access to structured curriculum\, drills\, and instructional material that you can study at your own pace. You can train solo\, work with a partner\, or use it to support what you are already doing in your gym. \nFor those who want to go deeper\, the online training connects directly to live training opportunities through instructor camps\, seminars\, and other events throughout the year. The online material provides the roadmap. The in-person training refines it through coaching\, corrections\, and pressure-tested work. \nLearn more here: https://civilianTacticalcoach.com\n  \n\n  \n  \nSchedule An Event With Sifu Alan \nWe’re already booking seminars\, workshops\, and training camps for 2026. SUMMARY:The Clinch-To-Draw Blueprint: Fighting To Your Weapon System
DESCRIPTION:  \nThe Clinch-To-Draw Blueprint: \nFighting To Your Weapon System\nMARCH 29\, 2026 10-1 PM\nRoyal Range USA In Nashville Tennessee\nCLICK HERE TO HOLD YOUR SPOT\n\n\nEvent description\nThe Goal: Give responsible gun owners a clear\, pressure-tested method to survive close contact\, create space\, and access their weapon system safely.\nThis is a three-hour\, range-based training block built for gun owners who understand a simple truth: the fight that matters most is the one that starts too close. If you carry\, your first problem is not marksmanship. Your first problem is recognizing trouble early\, surviving the initial crash\, protecting your head and belt line\, creating space\, and accessing your weapon systems when they’re actually available. \nWe’ll work on threat recognition and pre-assault indicators\, then move into close-range and “out of position” problems that happen around vehicles and in transitional spaces. You’ll learn simple\, pressure-tested shielding and positioning methods that help you stay functional under surprise contact so you can fight your way into distance and get to a tool of advantage. \nWe’re going to cover the skills that keep you alive before the fight ever “looks like a fight.” You’ll learn how to recognize threats before they bloom into violence by spotting pre-assault indicators\, physical tells\, and posting behaviors that often show up right before the first strike. We’ll then train surprise-contact protection so you can use simple\, functional shielding to protect your head and keep your brain online when the bad guy closes fast\, aiming to move from behind time to ahead of time. \nFrom there\, we’ll work out-of-position fighting from a seated position and against a wall\, focusing on what to do when you don’t have your preferred stance\, angle\, or timing\, and the bad guy is already in your space. You’ll learn how to clear attachments\, break contact\, and fight your way back into distance so you can access your weapon systems safely and intelligently. We’ll also cover protecting your belt line and your draw\, including simple\, practical ways to defend the holster area from grabs and attempted disarms\, so you don’t donate your gun in a clinch. While we won’t be running vehicle-specific scenarios in this class\, the principles you’ll learn here translate directly to the kinds of problems that often happen in and around vehicles. \n  \nMost gun owners are trained for a clean range problem\, not the messy close-range fight. They’re missing a clear blueprint for what to do before they can safely access their weapon.\n  \n\n\nAreas We Will Be Working On\n\nPre-contact positioning through the study of critical distance\nReading physical indicators and pre-assault cues from the threat\nHow to position yourself before contact so you’re starting from advantage\nManaging close-quarter punching and surprise contact\nDealing with clothing grabs and attachment fighting\nCountering attempted grabs to your belt line or weapon system\nUnderstanding force at close range and how to respond appropriately\nDelivering ballistic\, close-range counterattacks when you have no space\nTraining the material in open space first for clean reps and timing\nApplying the same problems from a seated position\nApplying the same problems pinned or pressured against a wall\nBuilding the skill of creating distance\, making space\, and earning access to your weapon system of choice\n\n  \nHave you ever had this thought: “I carry every day\, but I’ve never really trained what happens when the fight starts too close. If a guy is already on me\, grabbing and hitting\, how do I handle him\, create space\, and safely get to my weapon without donating it?”\n  \nJOIN US HERE\n  \n\n\nThe Instructor / Your Guide\nSifu/Guro Alan Baker is a high-performance coach and an internationally recognized martial arts & self-defense expert. He has over 45 years of continuous experience in the arts. He has been training continuously in the fitness and Martial Arts field since 1981 and has been teaching professionally since 1990. Baker founded the Civilian Tactical Training Association in 2015 and continues establishing C-Tac® instructors today. \nIn the course of his career\, he has earned advanced ranking and/or instructor certifications across multiple martial systems numerous instructor-level certifications in other systems under some of the industry’s most renowned teachers such as Tuhon Dan Inosanto\, Master Pedro Sauer\, Sifu Francis Fong\, Master Erik Paulson\, Ajarn Chai Sirisute\, Ajarn Greg Nelson\, Tuhon Tim Waid\, and Coach Justo Dieguez.\nIn the tactical training field\, Sifu Baker has taught countermeasures\, defensive tactics\, firearms\, and edged-weapon programs to Fortune 500 corporate security teams and law enforcement/SWAT teams throughout the United States. He has been privileged to work with and design training programs for the Department of Defense and other specialized government and military organizations.\nSifu Baker is a certified Personal Protection Specialist and the Defensive Tactics Instructor for The Executive Protection Institute in Clarke County\, Virginia. Alan also teaches a specialized defensive tactics program\, called Vehicle Centric Defensive Tactics\, for the Vehicle Dynamics Institute in New Jersey. VDI & EPI are considered the top schools for teaching Executive Protection (Bodyguards) and tactical / security driving globally. \n  \nMy goal is  you walking out with a simple\, repeatable blueprint for close-range problems: you can spot the pre-assault cues early\, manage surprise contact without losing your head\, protect your belt line from grabs\, create space under pressure\, and only access your weapon system when it’s actually safe and available\, not when it’s likely to get you tangled up or taken.\n  \n\n\nSuggested gear list\n\nConcealment holster\nSturdy belt\nInert training gun or blue gun\nTraining knife\nFocus Mitts\n\n\nPhysical Requirements\nParticipation in this program requires a fundamental level of physical fitness\, including the capacity to kneel on one knee and return to a standing position. However\, we understand that injuries and physical limitations can occur. They won’t entirely prevent you from training with us if you have any such concerns. We are committed to modifying and adapting exercises to suit your needs and conditions. Our primary goal is to provide you with a high-quality educational experience\, ensuring all participants gain valuable skills and knowledge\, regardless of physical constraints. \nBefore engaging in any physical activity\, including this event\, it’s advisable to consult with your doctor for guidance and to ensure it’s suitable for your health and fitness level. \n  \nRegester For This Event\nRegister now to lock in your spot\, show up with your carry setup and training tools\, and come train the clinch-to-draw blueprint with us on March 29 at Royal Range USA.\nTo regester for this event comtact the Royal Range USA to hold your spot: https://www.royalrangeusa.com/ \nEmail: training@royalrangeusa.com \nPhone: (615) 646-9333 \n7741 HIGHWAY 70 SOUTH\, NASHVILLE\, TN\, 37221 \nCLICK THIS LINK TO JOIN THE CLASS: https://royalrange.orchidnow.com/courses/the_clinch_to_draw_blueprint_0 \n  \nRoyal Range USA is Nashville’s best shooting range\, offering modern\, state-of-the-art indoor spaces suited for a variety of firearms.
